Mendelssohn Hear My Prayer

Tonight they present a programme based around the absent figure of J.S. Bach, featuring works by composers who influenced the great master and some who were influenced by him. Pieces will include Schütz’s Seven Last Words, often seen as a precursor to the famous passions, and Mendelssohn’s contemplative Hear my Prayer, one of his most enduring choral works.
