Programme Note

For the first of this evening's two concerts in the Brandenburg Choral Festival's Autumn Series, we welcome the Choir of Royal Holloway and conductor Rupert Gough, Associate Music Director of the festival. Accompanied by resident ensemble, the Brandenburg Sinfonia, they will perform Vaughan Williams's gorgeous Serenade to Music and Fauré's beautiful and much-loved Requiem. In addition, the instrumentalists will treat us to two masterpieces for string orchestra and harp, Debussy's Danses sacrée et profane, and Elgar's Sospiri. Join us in the lovely candlelit surroundings of St Martin's for this evening of popular twentieth century works for choir and orchestra, with some of the finest performers in the capital.

A reduced price combined ticket is available for this concert and the later concert at St Martin's. Please contact the box office for more details.
