Programme Note

The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London welcomes back New London Chamber Choir for this concert of twentieth and twenty-first century a cappella choral music. This beautiful programme will include works by Morten Lauridsen, one of the most successful choral composers of the present day, Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu and American composers John Cage and John Luther Adams. The evening will culminate in the beautiful setting of the Latin text of Agnus Dei to Barber's mesmerising Adagio, originally written for strings.
