Programme Note

The second of this evening’s two concerts in the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London features the New Cambridge Singers conducted by Graham Walker. This impressive choir always produce brilliant performances, and tonight’s will be no exception as they tackle Rachmaninov’s Vespers, a remarkable work for unaccompanied choir of almost symphonic proportions. The evocative chant-link melodies and legendary low bass writing are bound to be all the more atmospheric in the beautiful surroundings of a candlelit St Martin’s.

This concert will last approximately one hour without an interval.

A combined ticket offer is available for this concert and the earlier concert at St Martin's. Please contact the box office for more details.
