Programme Note

The Brandenburg Choral Festival of London opens its Spring Sunday Series at the Grange Wellington Hotel with The Cantabrigians, a fabulous female vocal ensemble from Cambridge. They will delight us with a programme of vocal music, both a cappella and accompanied by the ravishing sound of the harp. The first half focuses on the music of the melodious twentieth-century composer Andrew Downes (b. 1950); the second explores the repertoire for three female voices which flourished in mid-17th century Italy.
