Programme Note

The Minerva Consort returns to the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London with this programme reflecting on the theme of remembrance, and more specifically the First Word War, to mark Remembrance Day. The first half features works by Will Todd, the festival's artistic patron, including Remembrance written for the centenary of Armistice Day and Before Action, a response to the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Parry's Songs of Farewell were written as the fighting drew to a close. After the interval Fauré's serene Requiem. John Andrews conducts, with piano and organ accompaniment provided by Douglas Tang.

Join this fine choir for some beautiful music on this poignant anniversary.
