Programme Note

Pegasus makes a welcome return to the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London for the first of this evening’s two candlelit concerts at St Martin-in-the-Fields. The first half features motets by J.S Bach and William Byrd alongside Samuel Barber’s mesmerising Agnus Dei, an unaccompanied choral transcription of his Adagio for Strings. After the interval the choir are joined by soloists Hannah Sandison and Amy Lyddon and the Brandenburg Baroque Soloists for Vivaldi’s joyous Gloria
