Programme Note

We welcome back the innovative Ionian Singers with this programme of musical treasures from Germany, England and Scandinavia. Rheinberger's serene Abendlied will be heard alongside Romantic choral songs by Brahms and Wolf, and there will be a rare opportunity to hear three seldom-performed songs by Coleridge-Taylor and Warlock. There will also be a contemporary strand to the programme with music by Alan Bullard and the choir's conductor, Timothy Salter. Join us for an evening of music to fill the heart and delight the spirit!
