Programme Note

In the second of this evening’s concerts in the Brandenburg Choral Festival of London 2016 Spring Series, the wonderful Epiphoni Consort and conductor Tim Reader make a welcome return to perform Tallis’s awe-inspiring 40-part motet, Spem in Alium, alongside other a cappella choral works by Tallis and contemporary composers including Gabriel Jackson and James MacMillan. Sung from the gallery of St Martin’s, and by lovely candlelight, this is sure to be a memorable performance.
