A musical journey along the Danube: through Bulgaria and beyond...

For the second concert in our exciting collaboration with the fourth London Festival of Bulgarian Culture, violinists Pavel Minev (Soloist of Moscow State Philharmonic) and Ivo Stankov (Artistic director of LFBC), together with cellist Guy Johnston (Winner of ‘BBC Musician of the year’ competition), violist Alexander Zemtsov (Professor at Guildhall School of Music), and pianist Ashley Wass (Laureate at Leeds International Piano Competition), prsent a colourful programme featuring Dohnányi’s String Trio, Smetana’s ‘Macbeth and the Witches’ for solo piano, Vladigerov’s most famous work – Rhapsody ‘Vardar’ for violin and piano, and Brahms’ celebrated Piano Quintet.
