Programme Note

Sandrine Piau holds the vocal technique and special alchemical formula necessary to bring sung words to full-bodied life. The French soprano, praised by Gramophone for the way in which she ‘lives intensely each fluctuating shade of feeling’, presents a programme comprising pieces drawn from the heart of the repertoire and coruscatingly beautiful songs by the little-known composer and pianist Jeanne Bernard (1895-1965).

Sandrine Piau soprano; David Kadouch piano - Bernard, C Schumann, L Boulanger and more
