The programme also includes two of Benjamin Britten’s best loved works, the evocative Four Sea Interludes and the ever-popular The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra.The gala concert is the orchestra’s showcase performance of the season, featuring challenging works rarely taken on by university orchestras. This season saw the orchestra joined by new Music Director Susanna Riddell. Susanna’s approach to rehearsals and the professionalism she demands from the members has resulted in some extremely exciting ensemble playing from the orchestra.
