Rarely heard in the UK, it is a real thrill to open the Leeds Lieder 2021-22 season with an all Schumann recital given by the outstanding Swiss tenor, widely acknowledged as one of the brightest stars on the Lied stage. A Sony Classical Artist, Mauro has also performed leading roles with leading opera companies arround the world.Devoted to the lied repertoire, Mauro is a regular guest at Vienna’s Musikverein, at the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin, at Cologne’s Philharmonie, Munich’s Prinzregententheater, Vienna’s Konzerthaus, at the Verbier Festival, Wigmore Hall in London and the Salzburg Festival.
