Embrace the winter season with OperaUpClose’s candlelit chamber concert at the atmospheric Old Church arts centre in Stoke Newington.

This seasonal concert features soprano Sarah Minns (roles for OperaUpClose include Elle La Voix Humaine and Musetta La Bohème), actor Adam Best and harpist Mary Reid, in a programme ranging from Handel and Bellini to Copland and Britten, with some poetry and festive favourites along the way.

Exploring the themes of winter and hibernation, this inventive programme combines songs for soprano and harp with poetry by Shakespeare and Emily Dickinson, read by Adam Best, an acclaimed actor whose recent credits include Twelfth Night and The Silver Tassieat the National Theatre and Lions & Tigers Shakespeare's Globe.
