Programme Note

Get together a group of family and friends, bring a picnic, spread a blanket on the lawn in the School’s beautiful grounds and settle in for an afternoon of glorious sunshine (well, fingers crossed*) and gorgeous music.

Plus The Menuhin Hall bar will be serving chilled Prosecco and the essential summer Pimm’s!

Then stroll over into the Hall and enjoy the concert. The Yehudi Menuhin School Junior Orchestra and School’s Chamber Choir will be waiting to entertain you with a programme including Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Debussy’s Dances Sacred and Profane, Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No 1 and Vaughan Williams’ Three Shakespeare Songs in a nod to the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth.

5pm Concert, first half

6pm There will be an interval of 75 minutes for you to enjoy your picnic

7.15pm Concert, second half

*There’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes, but if the heavens do open there will be places to enjoy your picnic indoors.
