Programme Note

Madeleine MItchell brings a wonderful programme of music by women ranging from romantic gems by American Amy Beach and LIli Boulanger (the first woman to win the Prix de Rome) to folky duos by Master of the Queen's Music, Judith Weir and the VIolin Sonata of 1930 by Grace Williams (a pupil of Vaughan Williams) from Madeleine's latest album, to be released on International Women's Day, 8.3.19 by Naxos.

The Univeristy Women's Club in Mayfair provides a beautiful, intimate setting for this one hour programme which is followed by an optional  3 course dinner with wine, at cost - £27.50
