They have a particular interest in promoting the music of female composers and exploring lesser-known repertoire for the flute. Both are in demand as performers and educators. Clare studied at Birmingham Conservatoire and Durham University. As well as solo recitals, she performs regularly as a freelance orchestral flautist. Alison is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, and now works extensively in the region, specialising as an accompanist and repetiteur.
