Programme Note

The Stondon Singers return to this historic, intimate and charming venue for the annual celebration of the music of William Byrd.

The theme of this year's concert is 'Discourse: 500 years of musical dialogue', exploring pieces that create a conversation between one another, either by expanding on the music in a new style, or by responding to it directly.

This year's concert is the last with Hilary Punnett as conductor before she moves on to take up her new duties as Assistant Director of Music at St Paul's Cathedral, London. As such, it is expected to be very popular, and tickets are liable to sell out very quickly. Early booking is advised.

Refreshments will be available during the interval, providing an opportunity to relish the rural surroundings of this ancient building.
