Programme Note

Harpenden-based Amici Voices join organist Naomi Matsui, Artistic Director of Tokorozawa Cultural Centre and Kawasaki Symphony Hall and winner of the 2014 Kanichi Shimofusa Prize.

Their programme intersperses movements from Johann Schein’s supremely expressive Israelis Brünnlein of 1623 between equally arresting works from two celebrated composer-organists of the following generations, Dieterich Buxtehude and his student JS Bach.
