Voxcetera presents Dvořák: Stabat Mater

Add to my Calendar 21-03-2026 19:30 21-03-2026 21:30 36 Voxcetera presents Dvořák: Stabat Mater Dvořák’s best known and most often performed sacred work is a setting of the medieval prayer to the bereaved mother of Christ, and was likely inspired by the deaths of his own children.  London performances of Stabat Mater in the 1880s were brilliantly received and played a crucial role in Dvořák’s international breakthrough as a composer.   This is rich, tender music evoking sorrow and grief as well as hope and wonder.
