Performers

Commotio

Programme Note

Members of Oxford's foremost contemporary choir, Commotio, perform in St Mary’s Church as a smaller a cappella ensemble, Commotissimo. Known best for championing emerging contemporary composers and bringing to the fore the lost works of better known composers, Commotissimo sings predominantly one to a part, exploring classical and a cappella repertoire. To mark the start of Holy Week, Commotissimo will sing works spanning centuries of choral music, including those by Lotti, Clarke, Chilcott, and Thorvaldsdottir, celebrating the joy of voices in harmony.
