Programme Note

The City Consort of Voices present their programme based on light and darkness in a number of forms — dawn, daylight, star light, the light of hope provided by faith.

City Consort of Voices (CCoV) is a London-based chamber choir which performs diverse repertoire from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary close harmony regularly throughout the year. Membership is mainly drawn from the hugely successful EC4 Music, a choir and orchestra that is widely regarded as one of the leading large amateur groups in London.

With the aim of producing one of the best amateur chamber choirs in London, CCoV has very much the same raison d’être as its larger parent, tapping into the rich seam of non-professional musicians who live or work in and around the City of London. Our members have a great collective enthusiasm and pride in what CCoV has achieved to date.
