Programme Note

Violinist Peihan Francesca He, 14, is a young artist of exceptional promise. She has won international awards and performed at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and the Vienna Konzerthaus.

French concert pianist Patrick Hemmerlé, is renowned for his expressive artistry and distinctive programming. Based in Cambridge, he performs widely across Europe, Asia and the United States, and serves as Musician-in-Residence at Clare Hall, University of Cambridge.

Their programme brings together the lyricism of Brahms’s Violin Sonata No. 2, the joyceful brilliance of Beethoven’s Sonata No. 1, and the dazzling virtuosity of Sarasate’s Carmen Fantasy.
