Programme Note

As the musician who selected our new Steinway Concert D Grand piano, it feels particularly fitting that Paul Lewis should return to St George’s to bring our inaugural Bristol Keyboard Festival
to a rousing close. He does so with a perfectly balanced programme of Haydn, Brahms
and Beethoven. Expect moments ofHaydn, Brahms and Beethoven. Expect moments of startling originality, wild passion and raw emotion – balanced by a generous dose of quirkish humour as Haydn surprises, shocks and pokes fun at the listener!
