Programme Note

The Thomas Tallis Society Choir presents a feast of late Italian Renaissance Choral Music in St Alfege Church in Greenwich, conducted by Eamonn Dougan.

Experience the magnificence of the music of Palestrina, Pacelli, Victoria, Marenzio and Anerio. Using the galleries of this splendid Hawksmoor church, the TTS choir will be split into many parts, and the music will ring around the space, demonstrating how the church architecture influenced the composers.

The programme also features solo items, and will include music by Cozzolani (voice), Cavazzoni (organ) and Castello (recorder).
