Musicke in the Ayre

Programme Note

For our Frome Festival 2025 appearance, we visit Versailles in the period of Louis XIV. Our team of 3 sopranos (Jane Hunt, Maria Danishvar, and Philippa Neaverson) explore some wonderful music by Charpentier, Lully, and Lambert who made best use of their combination of voices in both sacred and secular forms. They'll be accompanied by Din Ghani playing continuo on archlute and baroque guitar.

Bar available outside the Gallery.
