Programme Note

There will be two performances - a perfect way to break up or round off your Christmas shopping!

• An earlier concert at 3:00pm
• ​A later performance at 5:30pm

Hallam Sinfonia and Steel City Choristers, together with conductors Tom Owen and Eleanor Jarvis, return to the beautiful Sheffield Town Hall for a sparkling concert with some Christmas classics as well as some very special extras!

Expect a mixed programme of some Christmas classics such as excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s ‘Nutcracker’, Leroy Anderson's 'Sleigh Ride' and Corelli's 'Christmas Concerto'. Featured alongside beautiful new arrangements of less Chirstmassy pieces such as music from 'Super Mario Galaxy' and a very special version of 'Moon River' for jazz piano and wind quintet.

Traditional festive carols will be sung by the Choristers on arrival and during the concert, and even some audience singalongs will round out the perfect Christmassy programme.
