Programme Note

In Beethoven’s third piano concerto, professor of medicine and piano virtuoso Julian Davis will lead us from darkness to light via some of the most beautiful music ever written. After the interval, experience the epic grandeur of Antonín Dvorák’s majestic seventh symphony, a piece full of irresistible tunes and passionate drama.

The orchestra is made up of doctors from hospitals across the North of England.

The concert is in support of The Christie Charity which funds life-changing and life-saving work for cancer patients at The Christie hospital.
