Programme Note

Belgium’s leading orchestra will be joined on stage by Bonn Beethoven Competition winner Filippo Gorini to perform Beethoven’s elemental third piano concerto – the only to be written in a minor key. Mendelssohn’s trip to Scotland proved a hugely inspiring experience, which resulted in his most popular symphony; his Scottish. This programme also offers a rare treat to hear one of Puccini’s purely orchestra works; his delightful Chrysanthemums.
