It is a huge pleasure to welcome one of Britain’s greatest living composers, Michael Finnissy, to celebrate his work in the lead-up to the composer’s eightieth birthday year. In his 6pm <speaks> talk, Michael discusses the aesthetic and technical ideas that helped form his work, and introduces a key early work, ‘Two Cut-ups of Three Fantasias by Alonso Mudarra’ (1966-67) played by Thomas Bruges (solo guitar).
