Musicke in the Ayre

Programme Note

We return to our beloved Iford Manor with a visit to Versailles in the period of Louis XIV. Our team of 3 sopranos (Jane Hunt, Maria Danishvar, and Philippa Neaverson) explore some wonderful music by Charpentier, Lully, and Lambert who made best use of their combination of voices in both sacred and secular forms. They'll be accompanied by Din Ghani playing continuo on archlute and baroque guitar.

Weather permitting, we'll be in the magnificent Italian Cloister.
