The night features the astonishing Ayanna Witter-Johnson (voice, cello, piano), an ensemble of soloists from the SÓN orchestra and Alt Pop trio VŌS. Ayanna Witter-Johnson is a MOBO award nominated vocalist, writer and cellist. Time Out recently said “Ayanna Witter-Johnson has to be heard to be believed. Her self-assured style blends a honey-sweet vocal delivery with bewitching cello-playing.”SÓN are Southampton’s professional orchestra. Five members of the orchestra (including three PLAYLISTers!) will come together for PLAYLIST to perform Prokofiev’s Quintet in G minor for oboe, clarinet and string trio. VŌS (check out their single 'Patience') are a new electropop outfit from London (with Southampton connections!), described as “mellow and mesmerising…(with) sheer class and elegance.” They will perform a stripped-back version of their set for PLAYLIST for a chilled Sunday evening.
