Programme Note

Formed in 2016, Trio Cordiera comprises scholars from the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Drama, where they have all been taught by world-renowned artists including So-Ock Kim, Krysia Osostowicz, Christopher Elton, Tatiana Sarkissova, Jo Cole and Christoph Richter. Their Conway Hall debut programme explores a wide range of repertoire, from effervescent Haydn to impassioned Mendelsohn, passing along the way through the dramatic world of the young Beethoven and Mel Bonis’s exquisite ‘Soir et Matin’.

A superb technical control and a kaleidoscopic sense of colour allied to a sumptuous sense of balance brought a radiance and immediacy to all that he did.”  —- Christopher Axworthy
