Regarded as one of the UK’s greatest sitar players, she’ll be accompanied for this performance by percussionists from both the Hindustani and Carnatic traditions: tabla player Shabaz Hussain and Carnatic percussionist RN Prakash. This event is the first of a new partnership between Music at Oxford and the Asian Arts Agency, which will see a wide range of South Asian artists and musical stars coming to Oxford over the next few years.   This concert is produced in association with the Asian Arts Agency.
