The flautist Lisa Nelsen, who has developed an international reputation for her innovative work, is joined by the clarinettist Ian Mitchell (branded 'outstanding' by BBC Music Magazine) for a programme that features the work of the London composer Robert Percy, alongside contemporaries. They are joined by pianist Clare Simmonds for Tom Ingoldsby’s beguiling work, 'The Cathedral' and a new version of Robert Percy’s 'Beacons' for piano, clarinet and flute, in which the compositional process is shared between composer and performers.
