Selected as YCAT artists they subsequently became "Rising Stars"€™ performing at major venues in Europe and North America. Familiar to listeners of BBC Radio 3, they perform at major festivals and venues in the UK and abroad, with regular tours to the United States. They have recently recorded the trios by Dvojak and Mendelssohn for Champs Hill Records and tonight they perform three highlights of the trio repertoire: once dubbed the ‘English Rachmaninov’, York Bowen’s music is enjoying ˜a remarkable revival€™ (The Times) and his haunting rhapsody appears alongside Schumann’s late, passionate Trio and Mendelssohn’s first Trio: one of his most popular chamber works and a romantic masterpiece.
