Programme Note

Join the LCS for the launch of its 10th anniversary season with a programme celebrating all things nature.

Max Richter’s electric reimagining of Vivaldi’s masterpiece forms the heart of the programme, alongside Paul Drayton’s enchanting rescoring of The Lark Ascending for violin and choir.

From their critically-acclaimed, “wonderful” (BBC Music Magazine) recording of music by Malcolm Arnold comes the “ravishingly scored” (Gramophone) John Clare Cantata, which movingly conveys the year’s revolving cycle from winter to winter.

Long-time LCS collaborator, Jack Liebeck, joins the full choral and instrumental forces of the London Choral Sinfonia.
